Don't use this as a timekeeping device, but rather as a reminder to live your life to the fullest. To really drive this point home, we've engraved the cap with the Latin phrase TEMPUS NEMINEM MANET, meaning "time waits for no one".

((inspiration))
The hourglass, sometimes with the addition of metaphorical wings, is often depicted as a symbol that human existence is fleeting, and that the "sands of time" will run out for every human life. In England, hourglasses were sometimes placed in coffins, and they have graced gravestones for centuries.
