PANSY = “think of me.” The name comes from the French pensée, meaning “thought,” which made the flower an obvious symbol of remembrance. But not necessarily mourning! It wasn't (always) a sad memorial flower for commemorating the dead. Here, lighthearted pink topazes, pink tourmaline and an emerald brighten up a wreath that meant something more like "think about me because we're both alive and we love each other".
