Saphiret glass was produced in the 19th and early 20th centuries in Gablonz, Czechoslovakia. It's made by fusing melted gold into sapphire-colored glass, producing an almost indescribably color: brick red or brown, but reflecting blue on the surface. It's so pretty, and we love it.
