This Georgian seal fob features a carnelian intaglio of a carrier pigeon—a bird long associated with messages, love tokens, and safe returns. Before telegraphs and telephones, pigeons were relied upon to carry urgent letters across great distances, their uncanny homing ability making them symbols of loyalty and steadfastness.
