This sterling silver "decade" ring was made in the late 19th century, but similar ones are still being made by the Sisters of Carmel. According to them,
"Rosary rings.... are a way to have the rosary “handy”. It is easy to finger the ring and use it to count Hail Marys when praying any time and any place, such as when you are driving. They may also be worn as chastity rings."
The cross signifies the end of a repetition. We love how it's edges have been softened over time with repeated devotional rubbing. It was loved and well-used.
