English sterling silver hand-engraved belt bangle, Birmingham assay, date letter Q (1915/16), maker's mark WGR.co. Back is plain/machined. The buckle motif meant "fidelity forever" in the Victorian era, and that sentiment was revived/still popular during the WW1 period. 1915 was arguably the worst year of the war (battle of Ypres) and this bracelet would have reminded the wearer of more civilized times in the previous century. Victorian revival, kinda, or retro.
