To the modern eye, it's just a pretty flower pendant; no secrets here. But if the average 21st century schmo traveled back in time 150 years, they would immediately recognize TWO hidden messages. One is acrostic: the first letters of the gemstones spell out REGARD (ruby, emerald, amethyst and diamond). The other is floral: the pansy, in Victorian floriography, means "Think of me." A sentimental double meaning, hidden in plain sight.
