Over the past several millennia, the snake has been used to represent many things: both good and evil, as well as fertility, passion, and rebirth. The Victorians employed the image of the snake as a symbol of everlasting love. This remarkably beautiful snake bracelet is fashioned in 18k gold and dates to the mid 19th century. The serpent's body forms a smooth crossover at the face. The exquisite head features blue guilloché enamel (which creates the illusion of scales) crowned with six bright old mine cut diamonds set in silver and fiery red garnet eyes. The elegant latch is engraved to match the engraving along the neck. Just incredible!
