A nice heavy 18k gold mariner chain holds a dangling heart locket. You can put whatever you like inside, but it was likely made to hold a lock of hair. We were surprised to find not hair, but a poem behind the glass, cut from a book: There must be stones in our path you know/they test our strength and 'tis better so/ Only I wish you may find/ a friend to help you both strong and kind.
