Smooth, matte onyx beads alternate with slim gold spacers to make this incredibly chic Victorian necklace. This necklace was most likely made to compliment a bereaved woman’s mourning attire. The wearing of color may have been a no-no in the early stages of mourning, but accessories were a must in the Victorian period, no matter the tragedy.
