Even though there are six natural pearls and a finely made 18k gold setting, the true jewel of this ring is a single strand of elephant tail hair protected within a channel. Presumably made in British-occupied India, it was likely created as a souvenir for a wealthy tourist visiting the subcontinent. It's the finest elephant hair ring we've ever seen.
