FLORIOGRAPHY - communication through flowers, was a wildly popular way to express secret sentiments in the Victorian era. We researched this forgotten trend and found that buttercups represented cheerful friendship, daisies meant innocence, and a white rose meant new beginnings. All these flowers and more appear on this bracelet's pietra dura mosaic panels. It's a feat of craftsmanship to evoke the softness and shade on flower petals using the hard medium of stone.
