Gold and silver miniature shapes are inlaid into tortoiseshell, then engraved. So much detail! It was the maximalist Victorian era, and more = better. The warm tortoise is arranged into a funny chandelier shape. It all works together to present a hyper-modern, kinda Neoclassical 19th century mishmash.
