Lindsay always gives me some background info on a piece, and I copyedit a fancy description for this newsletter. But once in a while, like here, Lindsay's words are all we need: The shaft is engraved with "Goldsmiths' Co 112 Regent St" and a little stylized anchor is etched on the other side. "VS" is engraved near the tip and the number 1 is engraved on the bale." Yes i know i just said shaft AND tip.
