This Victorian gadget allowed the user to choose one of three motifs to press into hot wax. One says "FORGET ME NOT" above the five-petaled flower. Another questions "AM I WELCOME", and the third shows a letter with the promise "THO ABSENT EVER DEAR". The gilding is largely worn off the brass spinning base, but who cares?
