Antique jewelry collectors will instantly recognize this "PLUS (+) QU'HIER MOINS (-) QUE DEMAIN" love token medallion, signed by its original creator Alphonse Augis. It's a covetable object; I have a Deco-era pendant version in my own jewelry box. It's based on a poem by Rosemonde Gérard from 1889: "Car, vois-tu, chaque jour je t’aime davantage, Aujourd’hui plus qu’hier et bien moins que demain," which translates as "For, you see, each day I love you more, Today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow." We've never seen a ring version before! Made in the 1970's, it dips into the "Vintage" jewelry category that we usually don't F with, but we couldn't resist. 18k gold with diamonds and rubies.
